Is a home battery worth it?
For most homes, yes. A battery lets you store cheap or free daytime solar and use it during the expensive evening peak, so you buy far less from the grid — which shortens payback and increases how much of your own energy you use.
What size battery do I need?
We size storage around your electricity use, solar generation and tariff, using compatible 5 kWh or 8 kWh modules. The exact model and capacity are confirmed in your quotation. Bedroom count alone does not determine the right battery.
Can I add a battery to existing solar panels?
Yes. You can add storage to an existing solar system on its own, and we'll set it up to charge from your panels and cheap off-peak tariffs.
Does a battery give backup power in a power cut?
Only where backup is expressly included in your order. We confirm which circuits the agreed system supports and its power, duration and operating limits. A battery installation does not automatically provide backup.
